Package 8: Panglao Island Tour with Lunch
Dauis Church & Miracle Well – The church in Dauis is one of the sophisticated and complex structures of its kind in Bohol. Built according to a plan for basilicas, that is, with a high central nave flanked by lower aisles, certain innovations have been added such as a pair of extensions to form “transepts “.
Bayoyoy– The dwarf in Dauis, Bohol
Hinagdan Cave – Well known, and easy to reach is Hinagdanan ("laddered" in Cebuano) cave on the island of Panglao, just 2.5 kilometers from Dauis. This cave has a large number of stalactites hanging from the ceiling, and matching stalagmites sticking out of the earth below them. The cave leads to a large underground cavern, that contains a pond. Both ends of the cave are open but swimming in the pool is not advisable as the waters there are not clean.
Daks& Gams Wildlife Park – In the middle of the island, Daks and Gams Wildlife Park has been established to show the original wildlife of the island. In the park, you will see the rarely seen coconut crab, which climb local trees and have claws powerful enough to snip off a coconut for a snack or chop off unwary fingers that come too close.
Panglao Church and Watch Tower – In the records of the diocese, Panglao was established as a parish by the Jesuits in 1782.The Recollects’ records show that they took charge of Panglao town in 1803.
Sea Shells Museum – View the private collections of sea shells in Bohol as well as in other parts of the country.
Panglao White sand Beach – Go swimming or just walking on the powdery white sand beach of Panglao.
Bohol Bee Farm From a simple bee farm showcase and demo farm for organinc farming , Bohol Bee Farm has now blossom as one of the must stop and try destination in Bohol. The bees on Panglao also manage to work part-time for the growers of hectares of maize and mango trees on Panglao: the busy little bees in trees pollinate the mangoes, buzz the nectar back to the farm on the next scheduled flight, and happily make honey. Honey from the farm can be bought - plus some crafts made locally - in various localities around Bohol. Here everyone can freely say and call
